Join us for the Car Free Day Street Celebration

Tuesday, September 22 from 11am – 3pm at 7th & F Streets NW

Step out of your daily routine and into the street for DDOT’s second annual Car Free Day Street Celebration! Enjoy music from BIG 100.3, and free workshops, performances, Pedicab rides, Segway test drives, basic bike repairs, an urban park space, a bicycle carousel, and more! Plus, get a chance to win a surprise giveaway when you pick up your 100% recyclable bag!

Don’t have a bike? Bike and Roll will offer free bike rentals on the day of the event. Be sure to mention Car Free Day when making your reservation (DC: 202-842-2453; VA: 703-548-7655). Or rent a SmartBike and park at the Metro Center Station (12th and G Streets NW) or Chinatown Station (8th and F Streets NW).

Getting to the Celebration
By Bike: Use bike lanes on 8th, 9th, 10th, E, or G Streets NW.
By DC Circulator: Take the Convention Center–SW Waterfront Route.
By Metro: Ride to Gallery Place–Chinatown (Green/Red/Yellow Lines), Metro Center(Blue/Orange/Red Lines), or Archives–Navy Memorial–Penn Quarter (Green/Yellow Lines).
